Wenatchee, Washington White Barn Wedding - Hampton Hideaway - Edvin & Celeste Vargas
Earlier this summer, I was able to be a second shooter at Edvin & Celeste’s Wenatchee wedding for Vanessa Marie! Vanessa is the sweetest girl ever & we had so much fun spending our entire day traveling and working together!
Edvin & Celeste’s wedding day was amazing. Despite the rain in the forecast & the clouds overhead, we were able to avoid the rain during all the right times. It rained the whole time everyone was getting ready, then it lifted for the first look & family photos. Then it rained again during the ceremony, which was thankfully inside the gorgeous big white barn. It stopped for good once the ceremony was over & everyone moved outside for dinner & the reception part of the evening.
Edvin & Celeste chose to do their first look prior to the ceremony, all by themselves(plus their paparazzi of course). They also had written letters to each other & read them all by themselves once we(the paparazzi) went to gather the wedding party. I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed a more beautiful & emotional first look before. They were crying before they were even looking at each other.
We got all of the bridal party members together, including the Edvin’s little sister as the maid of honor and Celeste’s little brother as the best man, who had THE BEST personality ever.
The ceremony was held inside this beautiful, big, white barn in the beautiful Wenatchee, Washington Mountains. The ceremony was officiated by both Edvin & Celeste’s childhood Pastor & his wife who knew them both as teenagers. Pastor Alexa prayed over Celeste right before the ceremony & that little room was so overflowing with love & light. It was amazing to be able to witness that private, special prayer.
The ceremony was amazing & included so many traditions. It was decorated with traditional papel picado, or “perforated paper”. They are the white Mexican banners that decorated the ceiling of the barn that were the perfect finishing touch.
As mentioned earlier, both of Edvin & Celeste’s younger siblings played a huge roll in this wedding and made the day so special. Pastors Alexa & Efrain Pineda came all the way from Texas to officiate & be present for their wedding, which just shows how much these two are loved.
They were introduced for the first time as husband and wife and had their first dance. Then everyone had the best dinner ever, freshly served out of a taco truck. I will NEVER get tired of Mexican food. And that asada quesadilla I had is up there with the best. And I’ve had a lot of quesadillas in my life.
The night continued with toasts by the maid of honor and best man, along with lawn games, and photo taking.
The groomsmen and bridesmaids had a special treat for the bride & groom. They had prepared a special lip sync battle between the bridal party to perform for everybody.
They had a vote at the end, and the girls prevailed despite the groomsmen’s beautiful rendition of Justin Beiber’s “Baby”.
Then all the single ladies gathered around for Celeste to toss her bouquet.
We ended the night with the cake cutting & plenty of tummy treats.
It was an amazing day filled with so much fun & love for everyone there. I am so grateful to have been able to tag along with Vanessa to Celeste & Edvin’s wedding.
