Chase & Ashley - Pasco Winter Couple Session with Dogs

I met Chase & Ashley last winter when they bought their first home & Ashley asked me to come document the occasion for them! Back then, they had one of these gorgeous dogs, Zuri, the white one. She was so much fun & now she has a little brother Kobe!

Ashley asked me to take their photos again this year & I was so excited! During the week of their session, we had a crazy thick fog that froze to everything in sight, creating an icy winter wonderland Elsa would be proud of. While none of us were too crazy about what it did to the roads, the frosty layer on everything in sight was definitely beautiful in its own unique way.

I reached out to Ashley and asked if she liked the frost or wanted to reschedule because of it, and she was all about it! So we planned on going ahead as planned. But when I got to our original location, there wasn’t any frost! It was down by a river, so I think that had something to do with it, but either way, there wasn’t any frost & she actually wanted it. So I quickly got ahold of her to let her know. They were already on their way, & I had to think fast of where I thought there *might* be some frost in the area. I sent them to a location that I hadn’t ever taken photos at before, but had driven by and noticed it, just hoping that there was frost there and I headed there too. Lucky for us, it was covered in the sparkly ice crystals!

I was there within a few minutes & we got started! We left the dogs in the car to begin with, so we were able to wander around with just Chase & Ashley & photograph them together. Then we pulled the two hooligans out of the car and they were ready to play & burn off all that pent up energy from their few minutes stuck inside. Kobe is still a pup, although he’s definitely a big pup. Chase & Ashley always knew they wanted another dog, but couldn’t decide when would be the best time. When COVID rolled into the world & shut everything down, Ashley started to work form home, giving them the perfect opportunity to bring a puppy home! By being able to be home with them, she was able to be there for all of the wonderful (and not so wonderful) puppy things he had to offer.

We had to take the time to document their new family of four on the icy day that was perfect for these two cold winter dogs.
